Moschella & Winston was founded in 2000 by two longtime leaders of the elder and disability law community, Alex Moschella and Neal Winston, based on a commitment to provide the highest quality representation for a comprehensive array of asset protection and life planning legal services.  Our attorneys specialize in the areas of estate planning, public benefits, disability and special needs law, elder law, probate and trust administration, probate litigation, inheritance law, and pre- and post-settlement counseling.  Our firm is also affiliated with Attorney James Nelligan as of counsel.  Attorney Nelligan is a renowned leader in the field of guardianship and conservatorship law.

Located in Somerville, Massachusetts, our firm’s reputation draws clientele from across the country, as well as referrals from other attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and health care professionals.  We are known for our compassionate advocacy and nationally recognized as experts in the fields of elder, disability, and special needs law for more than 30 years.  All of our attorneys are members of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Our partners are Certified Elder Law Attorneys by the National Elder Law Foundation and have been named SuperLawyers in Boston Magazine since 2007.  

Partner Neal Winston, Esq. is President Elect of the Special Needs Alliance, a national, nonprofit organization of expert attorneys in disability and public benefits law.  Partner Alex Moschella, Esq. serves on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association and Somerville Cambridge Elder Services and is an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk Law School, where he has taught Elder Law for 15 years.  Both of our partners are past President of the Massachusetts Chapter of NAELA and are published on a state and national level.  As leaders in their field, our partners are often called upon to serve as experts in cases involving estates and trusts.
